Missy misses her mommy but Needs a new one!
Missy is about 3 years old. She is a Calico - Siamese mix cat. Missy was owned by an elderly woman for about 2 years until a few weeks ago the lady had a stroke which took her life. Missy was left alone in the house until the daughter came to sell all the furniture. The daughter couldn't take Missy and wasn't sure of the best way to deal with her. She came to the conclusion to cremate her and spread her ashed on her mothers grave so they could be together. For some reason, the daughter couldn't make it to the appointment and had to reschedule. A day before the next vet appointment, the daughter's neighbor told her about Jessica Paarlberg who works at the Nature Center and how they take in strays sometimes. The daughter called up Jessica and the word got to me about a sweetheart cat who needed to find a loving home. I met with the daughter and took the cat in to foster. She was a little shy at first but since Thursday she has warmed up to us! She isn't crazy about other cats or dogs but will tolerate them. She likes to me near you though. She is fully litterbox trained and eats dry food. She has a great personality. If you are on the couch she wants to join you. Missy really needs a wonderful home and if anyone knows of someone who needs a friend, please let the Nature Center know asap.
